JULIJANA VUŠKOVIĆ
For me, there was never any other profession than that of a make-up artist.
Just as I never wanted to be born anywhere else than on the beautiful island of Brac.
At the age of fifteen, I moved to Zagreb, Croatia. At eighteen, I began to learn the craft of transformation alongside the great make-up artist Halid Redzebasic. It was thanks to him that I was able to work on my talent and on my dream: to work with and for actors, the director and with the whole film crew.
Biography
Halid showed me the miracle of illusion.
Working for and with him, I was able to take part in many important productions. The profession of a make-up artist is much more than putting make-up on actors. Make-up artists have the knowledge and the power to transform them into anything: from young to old, or sometimes from old to young, into characters that tell us all the beautiful, sad and funny stories.
Now I look back on many inspiring years working for different TV and cinema formats. I am happy about the “Golden Arena” award I received for my work as best mask in the film “Hush” by Lukas Nola and last but not least, I look forward every day to all the upcoming, new, exciting adventures, whether bloody, glamorous, historical or adventurous.
